The Marching Band placed 1st in class II of the USSBA Marching Competition at Herndon on Saturday , September 24.

THis week, we look forward to competing at the Oakton classic Marching Band Competition at Oakton High School in Vienna, Va. Performance time is 3:00pm.

Students are to report to Hayfield at 10:15am. Performance is at 3:00pm, and the awards are at 6pm.We will return at 7:45pm that evening.

10:30am report to field

11:15am lunch and dress for competition

12:30am depart for herndon h.s.

2:30pm performance, watch other performances

5:45pm receive ratings

6:20pm depart for hayfield

7:00pm return, stow away equipment, dismissed

Congratulations to the band in their first tag day of the first year with the realigned Hayfield school boundary. Our goal is $8000, and with Tag Day #2 this weekend, we should make our goal easily. Island Creek and the 3rd part of Hayfield Farms will be our target, along with some new subdivisions that opened up in the past year. Thanks to the Mrs. Erin Fitzsimmons and Mrs.Melissa Hartman for all their planning and hard work both Tag Days. Thanks to Dottie Andrews for the uniforms as well.

Saturday, Sept. 17, students report by 9am, and we should be done just before 2pm.

First Home game Friday Sept. 16th. Students report at 6pm with black shoes, black socks, t-shirt and shorts. Don't forget some refreshment money.
