"The Hayfield Band completed our first of two Tag Days today. We had 57 students and 15 parent drivers helping and raised a total of $8,567.70 for the band. This was great start. Last year, we did only one Tag Day from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM with 80 students and raised just over $11,000.00. Considering we had 23 fewer students and a shorter day, we’re only about $2,500.00 behind last year’s total amount. With a good turnout of students and drivers for our second day, September 21 we should have no trouble passing that mark. There will be new sign-up lists in the band room next week. Even if you signed up on the old sheets to work on Sep 21, you’ll need to sign up again on the new list. When we combine this total with last week's total of $8,567.70, we get a grand total of $13,121.70, exceeding last year's total by more then two thousand dollars. A great effort by all.
