May 11, 2005 :: Spring Concert Tuesday, May 17
 

On Tuesday, May 17, 2005, the Hayfield Secondary School band department will present their annual Spring Concert. The performance will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the Hayfield auditorium. Performances by the all of the Hayfield Symphonic I and II bands, the combined Cadet, Concert and Beginning bands, the Jazz band and the percussion ensembles.

Students are expected to warm up in the middle school band room (1520) at 6:15 p.m. to properly warm-up and tune.

Concert dress is described in the band handbook as:

White "Oxford" style, long sleeve button-down shirt, with button-down collar; black socks, black dress shoes

Students from all bands will be issued bow ties and cummerbunds prior to the performance. These items will be collected after the performance.

It is expected that students and parents stay for the entire concert.

Students are reminded that the proper concert behavior includes:

-No talking during performances

-Remaining seated during performances

-Showing respect for the performers on stage

Remember, the audience pays attention to band members on and off stage. Hayfield band members are to conduct themselves with at professional attitude. We look forward to a memorable concert.

For transportation, we will be using

6:15a.m. Meet at Hayfield

7:00a.m. Buses leave Hayfield Secondary School

10:15a.m. Arrive at Hershey High School for music performance, unload buses

10:40a.m. Go to warm-up room for performance-perform immediately after

warm-up

12:10p.m. Leave Hershey High School for Hersheypark

12:30p.m Arrive at Hersheypark, visit attractions

6:20p.m. Attend awards assembly in Hersheypark Arena (Located just outside front gate-get hand stamped before exiting park.)

9:00p.m Meet on bus to leave Hersheypark for Hayfield

12:30a.m. Arrive at Hayfield Secondary School

October 25, 2004 :: Middle School Marching Band Night
 

The middle school marching band night is this Friday, October 29. Meet in the band room at 6:15pm.

The rehearsal is on Wednesday, October 27, from 2:20pm until 3:25pm. Students may take the late bus home on this day.

October 12, 2004 :: BAND BOOSTERS MEETING
 

Dear Band Parents,

The Hayfield Middle School band boosters will have a meeting at 6:30pm Thursday, October 14, 2004 in the band room, #1520.

The agenda will include middle school band budget, nomination of officers, and volunteer/chaperone information. All band parents are invited!

October 07, 2004 :: CONCERT DATE CHANGE!
 

Dear Students and Parents,

On Tuesday, October 19, 2004, the Hayfield Secondary School band department will present their annual Fall Concert. THIS IS A CHANGE FROM THE ORIGNALLY POSTED DATE! The performance will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. in the Hayfield auditorium. Performances by the Hayfield Symphonic I and II Bands, and the Hayfield Jazz Band.

Students are expected to warm up in the MSLR Room (1604) at the following times:

Symphonic II/Jazz- 6:15 p.m.

Symphonic I- 6:15 p.m.

Concert dress is described in the band handbook as:
