May 31, 2010 MEMORIAL DAY PARADE, WASHINGTON,
D.C. 11:00am – Report to band room. Rehearse, Dress. 12:00pm – Depart by bus for
parade. 12:45pm – Arrive at Drop off point (4th and constitution). Walk to Parade assembly location
(7th and Madison). Parade position number is 103A (out of 146 positions). 2:00pm – Parade begins. Parade
route is Constitution Avenue, from 7th to 17th street, from national Archives to west side of the ellipse. 3:00pm moment of silence.
All groups halt, cease playing, and bow heads from 3:00pm-3:02pm. Then full speed ahead. 4:00pm approximate end of parade.
Busses pick up is 17th street and Virginia Avenue. 5:00pm return to hayfield. Hang up uniforms, Stow
away equipment, then dismissed. Don't forget: Black socks, black shoes, t shirt,
shorts, snack, lunch, water. And

Parade Saturday, October 31 7:30am – Report
to field for rehearsal. 8:15am – Dress. 9:00am – Depart for West Springfield High School 9:30am
– Arrive at West Springfield High School 10:15am – Warm up. 11:00am – Performance. Then watch other groups 12:45pm-
Receive ratings, and then depart 2:00pm – Return to Hayfield. Take uniform and instrument home for parade on Sunday. Sunday, November 1 11:30am – band room open for instrument pick-up 12:30pm
– report to Hayfield farms pool with uniformed and with instrument. 1:00pm –parade to park next to corner of Hayfield
Farms and Telegraph rd. 1:45pm- Dismissed from parade. Bring uniform and instrument to school Monday.

marching band took second place in the level three division of the Herndon Invitational Marching Band Competition. The band
was awarded "Best Music" as well, thanks to their great performance. Congratulations band !!
