Numerals, patches, or pins can be earned by

A "B" average or better in band class
 
::
Acceptable attendance and discipline in band class and other band activities

Attendance on the Spring Trip
  Must include one of the following:
 
::
Participation in one complete season of an extracurricular band-sponsored activity or Marching Band, which includes participation in Band Camp
 
::
Earning a chair and participating in All-District Band
 
::
Auditioning for All-District Band and participating in Solo & Ensemble Festival
     
A Varsity letter can be earned by completing three activities
  Special awards and certificates are given to students participating in extra ensembles, All-District Band, and special band projects.
 
 
Other opportunities
 
Tri-M Music Honor Society is an honorary group like the National Honor Society. Student membership is determined by the following criteria

Nomination by the director
 
::
Maintaining a "B" average or better in band class
 
::
Enrollment in performance ensemble for at least 1 semester
 
::

Maintaining at least an overall "C" grade point average

Outstanding Symphonic Band Member Best Symphonic Band member (peer vote)
Outstanding Wind Ensemble Member Best Wind Ensemble member (peer vote)
Leader's Pin Serving in a leadership role
Senior Plaque Service to the band program and marching band throughout their senior year.
