Middle School Participation Night
Middle School Participation Night
The middle school symphonic
band participation night is an opportunity for middle school band students to experience a marching band performance
at a high school football game. Students participate in one rehearsal on Thursday, October 18, from 2:20 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. They have the oportunity to go home and come back at
6:30pm, or if they cannot go home, stay and have pizza with the high school band.
Clothing is casual, with any orange they can wear, as well as a coat for seasonal weather. On Thursday,
October 2, they perform the national anthem and the Hayfield fight song with the high school marching band during pre-game
ceremonies. During the game, the middle school students sit with the marching band in the bleachers, playing pep songs. Music
is provided. Middle school band students are admitted free into the football game with the marching band and are dismissed
after the half-time marching band performance. Football game times vary, but students are typically dismissed
after half-time by 9:00pm.
Participation in this event is mandatory
for members of the Symphonic/Advanced band.
Students: Please show this announcement to your parents and return this bottom slip to Mr.
Helm as soon as possible, no later than Friday, Sept.26.
I have read the
announcement for the middle school marching band participation night, will bring my son or daughter to the event and will
transport them home by the end of the event.
